DOGGY OUT, COME GET B*TCH

Consuela engages in another phone-line conversation. Not knowing that Brian is a resident of the house( or probably and does not even care, just doing her job ), Consuela pushes him outside regardless. This can give a small impression that women of Hispanic origin can demonstrate a hint of aggressiveness and recklessness. Of course, this is only a small act as she would naturally do as a  house keeper. However, upon receiving the phone from Brian, she decides to take on the phone conversation into a whole new level. This would escalade an increased prejudice that would  be taken upon the viewers.

After seeing the more aggressive and hostile role Consuela takes on,  one can assume that older Hispanic women  could become very aggravated  . When she openly admits into taking away money from Stewie,  this can be a stereotypical projection that all Hispanics or Latinos steal when working with jobs that handle with other people’s belongings. The Hispanic reference that  Consuela pertains to can convince an audience that there should not be a trust in Hispanic house keepers like these. The stereotypical Hispanic reference, is one who works primarily labor jobs and immigrates from another country while knowing little English. The reference often  ties with the illegal-Mexican/Latino reference. The two are projected as one entity. The aim is here to show the recklessness  of older Hispanic women as being house keepers. Personally, there was never a worry about a hotel housekeeper going into anyone’s  personal belongings when leaving a hotel. Many housekeepers (have been witnessed to) come in different ethnicities and there was never the fear of any particular one because they are just doing their job.Yet again, here we have a Hispanic model being portrayed as dangerous entity.

  1. Family Guy pokes on a lot of different racial humor but i feel that in this particular clip there you can take the humor as the situation Brian is in. Brian is a talking dog who is obviously a memeber of the family. The maid doesnt kick him out because she is reckless, she kicks him out because he is a freaking dog.

  2. This is just a minor view of how some members of society view people with Consuela's characteristics. Brian even acknowledges her presence and tells her that he lives there. You can see, regardless of what Brian has said, Consuela still kicks him out.
